So heres the storyboard for the final 12 seconds...
1 second> camera draggs out past the cat to
3 seconds> edge of gap clearly visible to
6 seconds> gap widening up crumbled houses visible to
9 seconds> Cars hanging off subway visible
12 seconds> whole devestating scene!










Now these are the pictures every single person in our group stole off google images, but there so nice they needed to be posted up here somewhere. Heres a big bag of pictures including one thats barely related but just had to come up (evangelion ftw) actualy the television series has ALOT to do with our theme but its anime., and well we dont realy want to dig up that minefield. Ill manage to get away with analysing casshern but thats about it! O and notice the colouration on the car in the evangelion pic perfect!

i came across a great scene while playing the new HL2:episode 2 today^ screenshot doesnt do it the best justice the white light for example looks amazing :D!

Now last week, or whenever the first week was. I decided to put the style/idea to the test in a couple of hours worth of work. Now one of the main problems the group has was not to make it look too "gamey" trying to sort out the definition of this i guesed it was pointing out a failure at photorealism, games that try and fail at perfection. So with this render i tried to keep things natural following the natural lines of the polys with my texture (also meant a tonne less work trying to remember how the wall was shaped). Its a hell of a lot easier to whip up a uv snapshot hoof a diffuse glow on it and work from that, aslong as the moddels clean that is! heres the progression> (more details after the jump)
